2nd Cook
Jasper County Elderly Nutrition is looking for a dependable individual to assist in a full-time capacity to help the Head Cook with the planning of meals, food preparation, cooking, baking desserts, inventory, packaging of home delivery meals, cleaning, and other kitchen related tasks. Applicant must be professional, courteous, and flexible to change and have experience with food preparation on a large scale or food service.
Work schedule will be Monday – Friday 5:30 AM to 1:30 PM, Range of pay $15.74 per hour with scheduled increases up to $21.18 per hour (7/1/23 union scale). To include County’s benefit package to include IPERS retirement, dental, vision, and Wellmark Blue Cross Blue Shield health insurance, vacation and paid sick time.
Applicants must enjoy cooking and baking. Applicants must possess: a good work ethic, pleasant, compassionate, organized, and flexible to change based on the facility’s needs. Prior experience with large scale food preparation and experience in commercial grade kitchen is preferred.
