Telecommunicator (911 Dispatcher)
Selected individual will be responsible for dispatching emergency services with the County and radio communication with multiple agencies (Law Enforcement, Fire, EMS, and others). Jasper County provides a professional work environment with competitive wages. The starting rate of pay is $21.01 up to $28.19 per hour with scheduled increases. Work schedule will vary and may include the following shifts: day, evening, night, overnight, weekend, or holidays. Full-time positions do include County paid benefits.
Special requirements of this position: obtain NCIC Certification within the first six months of employment and the completion of the Emergency Medical Dispatcher program as a condition of continued employment. The Jasper County Sheriff's Office will make arrangements and pay for the required schooling.
This position provides for the protection of life and property by dispatching and coordination through visual or verbal means, laws enforcement, emergency medical, fire, rescue and related public safety services.
