The Jasper County Commission of Veterans Affairs is seeking applications from qualified veterans to fill a vacancy on the Commission.  If you are a veteran with an honorable discharge, and are interesting in serving on the Commission to assist other veterans in Jasper County, please complete the Jasper County Veterans Affairs Commissioner Application attached to this posting and return it to the Jasper County Human Resources Office with a copy of your DD214 no later than 4:00 PM on Friday August 9, 2024 to be eligible for the selection process.

The Commission meets monthly for a regularly schedule meeting on the second Wednesday of each month at 3:00 PM and occassionaly for special meetings as needed.  Commission members are compensatied at $50 per regularly scheduled meeting.

Applications are available by clicking on the link above or below this posting, at the Jasper County Human Resources Office, or at the Jasper County Veterans Affairs Office located in the County Administration building at 315 W 3rd St. N in Newton. All applications must be completed, a copy of your DD214 must be returned to the Jasper County Human Resources Office no later than 4:00 p.m. on Friday August 9, 2024 to be eligible for the selection process.
