Fitness

• Programs include sports and recreation for youth and adults, fitness facilities and classes, swimming lessons, youth and teen activities, dance, gymnastics, arts and crafts, summer camps, and sports camps. Childcare and preschool programming is available through the YMCA Childcare Center. Financial assistance is available based on true financial need.
• Showers are available with sign in and sign out for those in need.

The Colfax-Mingo fitness center, located on the north side of the Jr/Sr High School is now open to the public.  Members will have access to the walking track and the cardio room with paid memberships.

Maytag Pool can be found nestled in the center of historic Maytag Park, which is located at 301 S 11th Ave W. Since the pool was built in 1935, it has served as one of the main summertime family attractions in Newton.

The pool features zero-entry access, a chair lift, a play feature, two water slides, a diving well,  a zipline and six 25 meter swimming lanes.
