The Animal Rescue League of Iowa (ARL) is Iowa's largest nonprofit animal shelter, caring for many thousands of pets each year. The ARL serves people and pets from across the state of Iowa through its programs, which include pet adoption, humane education, pet behavior training, spay/neuter, animal cruelty intervention, and much more.

Wellness clinics provide a physical exam, distemper, and rabies vaccinations, and microchipping for $35.00. Wellness Clinic Events are available by appointment only. Check the events calendar on the ARL website to find out when and where they are held.

We are a non-profit feline rescue located in Central Iowa. Our mission is to rescue, provide a safe haven, and care for abandoned animals until a permanent home can be found.  Each one of our adoptable has a story and each one has a specific need, thus each home will be picked according to that particular pet's needs! We strive to make sure both the families and animals are happy and take extra precautions to ensure this.  If you are interested in adopting from our organization, you must first fill out an application, and a team member will reach out to you further.
