Newton Clinic is a multi-specialty clinic serving the citizens of Newton, Iowa, and the greater Jasper County area. Our 20 providers offer healthcare services in family medicine, obstetrics (pregnancy) 10/2024, gynecology, internal medicine, and podiatry.
Newton Clinic is owned by the member physicians and employs about 60 full-time employees. Our 17,000-square-foot facility includes a full-service laboratory, full-service X-ray department, obstetric ultrasound unit, fetal non-stress testing unit, video flexible sigmoidoscope unit, treadmill, and three surgical procedure/casting rooms. The physicians of the Newton Clinic primarily admit patients to MercyOne Newton Medical Center.
Newton Clinic offers immunizations for children and adults. They have the VFC (Vaccine for Children) programs.

Provides public health services for Jasper County including:
- Communicable diseases and food-borne illness investigations,
- Vaccine for Children (VFC) immunizations ONLY VFC- who qualifies Appointments only

- School and daycare immunization audits
- Public health education, community health improvement plans and collaboration, and public health emergency preparedness.
- Free condoms in the waiting area.
- Free car seat checks.
- Environmental Health is subcontracted with Jasper County Community Development.
- We do not provide home care aide or homemaker services but have limited funding for low-income, senior residents. Please call Aging Resources to start the homecare waiver process first.

Breastfeeding support: one-on-one extensive breastfeeding support,a postpartum home visit to help troubleshoot breastfeeding issues or for a baby weight check. This free service is available to families who reside in Poweshiek, Jasper, and Marshall counties. Postpartum Support Group: A free group focused on caregivers and their infant(s) newborn to one year of age, Baby weight checks, breast and bottle feeding guidance, professional and peer support, come and go setting, light refreshments provided. Meetings are on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month in the Tomasek Conference Room from 5-6:30 PM. For information call 641-236-2905.

Individuals may obtain immunization records through the following options:
1. Contact your healthcare provider. (Doctor or health department where you received the vaccines)
2. Complete and submit an immunization record request form to the Iowa Department of Public Health
Immunization Program.
Individuals, parents, and guardians may request immunization or health screening data by completing the IRIS Record Request Form, https://iris.iowa.gov/docs/record_request.pdf
Keep a copy for your record. Give a copy to daycare, schools, college, or your workplace as needed.
